A total of 3,000 participants from Kaunas city and district, Kėdainiai, Palanga, Klaipėda, Molėtai, Prienai, Šilalė, and Vilnius will perform.
According to the organizers, this is one of the most prominent events in the entire country, inviting young people to nurture Lithuanian traditions.
“Kaunas is the first and true home of the Song Festival. I am glad that this event, which recalls traditions over a hundred years old, takes place right in the heart of Lithuania. The Song Festival has always been about people, traditions, and that special feeling that unites. Therefore, I wish the participants and spectators not only to have a good time but also to feel proud to be part of it,” said Kaunas mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis, inviting everyone to the festival.

The event will bring together 21 dance and 65 choir groups, whose performances will reveal the talent of young performers, the diversity of Lithuanian stage culture, and the lively spirit of community.
The program will feature more than 30 different songs – from classical compositions to well-known and already beloved pieces by the audience, such as “Lietuva brangi,” “Kur giria žaliuoja,” and others.

Along with the groups, well-known national performers will perform pieces on stage.
