Probably, like me, you have wondered what it would feel like to have an identical twin sister or brother? We have all heard stories about how they take exams for each other. How they use each other’s documents or even go on dates for their brother. One acquaintance of mine, a pair of twin brothers, even visited one brother’s small children while the other was serving in the army, so they could see “dad” more often. But these are innocent twin jokes compared to my story.
Let’s call the heroine Milda, she would never agree to reveal her real name. So, Milda married a man who has an identical twin brother. The marriage was successful, the couple had two children who confused their father with their uncle because they looked very similar. More than once, Milda herself admitted that she distinguished her husband by his clothes or by his scent, because they had no other distinguishing features. They even got the same haircut in the same place and it seems they enjoyed their similarity.

“They have played a prank on me more than once, dressing identically and asking me to guess which one is my husband? I usually guessed by the scent, but I have been wrong a few times. Everyone laughed a lot, but now it’s not funny to me at all, although it was back then,” Milda said.
Milda’s husband’s brother did not start a family, he had girlfriends, but none stayed longer than a year. Milda joked that this was the essential difference between very similar people: one is a family person, the other a playboy.
