Jamie Woon’s break from original creation lasted ten years. The comeback is unexpected but one of the most anticipated in the music industry. He is considered a pioneer of London soul and is one of the most interesting performers of his generation. Jamie Woon’s second album “Making Time” was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize award.

Jamie Woon’s music is warm, subtle, easily engaging, and pleasantly lingering in memory. However, behind the modest image lies an ambitious creator for whom creation has always been all or nothing.
This explains both the early critical recognition and the long disappearance from the public eye. While fans awaited new Jamie music, he was actively working behind the scenes – collaborating with Burial, Disclosure, Elmiene, and many others.

“For many years I was stuck due to the constant question – what is worth saying, broadcasting, and writing. It caused anxiety and shame, and creating became increasingly difficult. But with love and support, new creation unexpectedly returned. Now I have many personal songs about vulnerability,” says Jamie Woon, for whom this will be the second visit to Lithuania.
In the ten-track album “3, 10, Why, When,” Jamie Woon experiments and at the same time reminds what he has always done best. The release “3, 10, Why, When” features R&B, electronics, and elements of popular music. Sharp percussion blends with rich string parts. The release is fragile, sensitive, and open, and his vocal abilities distinguish him from others.

Jamie Woon’s performance will be opened by the talented Lithuanian musician Benny!, who plays together with Angelou, Gabriele Vilkickyte, and Free Fing. Benny! recently released his new debut album “Flying Saucer,” which he will present live. Ben is expecting a special evening – it will be his first performance as Benny! and the first time opening for a foreign artist.

“Sharing one stage with Jamie Woon is a bit surreal because I learned about his work quite recently. When I shared this opportunity with a few friends, they were pleasantly surprised and introduced me to Jamie’s work. Of all the music catalog, the album “Making Time” resonated and touched me the most, which is close to me because of its rhythm and soft, live sound.
I have long dreamed of playing my album “Flying Saucer” live and doing it in the purest possible form, so I decided to perform as a duo. This time on stage I will be accompanied by my good friend – trumpeter Domas Kazlas,” says Benas Kukenys.

After the break, Jamie Woon returned announcing only 15 performances in Europe. “I released a new album with a strange title. I don’t really know how to explain this music. It’s hard to believe it even exists. This is my most vulnerable release so far. It’s time to present it live. I missed it very much,” invites the album’s author Jamie Woon to the performances.
By invitation of the music agency “8 Days A Week,” this season in Vilnius will also feature “The Cinematic Orchestra,” Sleaford Mods, and “LIFE.”
