The incident occurred on United Airlines flight No. 3486 flying from Newark, New Jersey to Grand Rapids, Michigan, writes People.
Passenger John Frehse, who was on the plane, shared this story on the social network Instagram. According to him, the mother was so tired that she fell asleep, and her baby began to slip off her lap. Flight attendant Monique Harris, who noticed the situation, immediately rushed to help and managed to catch the child.
After making sure the baby was safe, M. Harris decided to let the woman catch her breath, even if just for a short time. The flight attendant took the little one in her arms and held him until the exhausted mother was asleep.

“In these troubled times, not all is lost,” wrote the passenger who recorded the event on social media. He added that the airline should be proud of such a team member.
M. Harris works for the regional airline Republic Airways, which operates flights on behalf of several major companies, including United Airlines.
The flight attendant’s action quickly received huge attention. The post gathered more than 150,000 likes, and in the comments, people thanked her for her care and quick reaction.

The airlines also responded to the story. Representatives of Republic Airways stated they are proud that M. Harris is a member of their team, and the official United Airlines account left an excited emoji.
The flight attendant herself admitted she cried when she saw the response her action received.
“I never do anything for recognition. I had no idea that a simple and completely natural act for me would become such a priceless moment,” she wrote.
J. Frehse emphasized that the woman truly saved the situation because the baby’s mother was too tired and could no longer stay alert. He called the flight attendant a heroine.
