One of the simplest methods is to use 1 part buckwheat and 2 parts water.

This ratio is also recommended by the healthy eating portal “Healthline”: for one cup of buckwheat, it is recommended to use two cups of water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for about 10–15 minutes until the buckwheat softens.
