The US Southern Command reported the strike with the usual wording that the ship was “conducting drug trafficking operations” and was controlled by a terrorist organization. No evidence was provided to support this claim.

After this attack, the number of deaths in the series of US strikes, which began in early September, reached 205.
Other attacks were reported on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Donald Trump administration has declared that the US is at war with Latin American drug cartels, claiming they are responsible for the drug flow into the United States.
The US Southern Command stated in its post on the platform “X” that the strike was carried out under the orders of the top US commander in Latin America, General Francis L. Donovan.
