However, it is planned that he will return to the stage from June 2,” the artist’s representative told the Las Vegas Review.

Rodas himself apologized to the “family of fans” in his statement.

“While I recover from a sinus infection, I am protecting my voice and not straining it. I hope to see you soon at upcoming concerts at Caesars Palace or during the summer tour,” he said.

It is planned that next week the musician will continue his series of performances in Las Vegas, which will run until June 6, and then return from August 18–29.

Health challenges

Last June, Rod also had to cancel a concert in Las Vegas at the last moment due to illness. He was supposed to perform on June 1, but the event was postponed.

“I regret to inform you that I am feeling unwell, so tonight’s concert at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace will be postponed to June 10,” the artist addressed his fans at the time.

Last year, the singer was also forced to cancel several concerts in the US due to the flu. However, in July he triumphantly returned to the famous Glastonbury music festival.

His wife Penny Lancaster told HELLO! magazine:

“He was diagnosed with type A flu – one of the most severe forms of the flu. The illness completely exhausted him. In his entire life, he had never been so seriously ill.”

She added:

“About five days before the Glastonbury festival, Rod said: ‘I don’t think I’ll be well enough. I tried to sing, but my voice isn’t working.’ He was very anxious about expectations and pressure – everyone trusted him, and he didn’t want to disappoint anyone. I think all this strongly affected his psychological state.”

According to Penny, she took her husband to a hospital in London to see a throat specialist.

“He underwent a vocal cord examination with a camera, we worked with a vocal coach, applied steam therapy – both warm and cold. We tried everything we could,” she said.

Penny also emphasized that her husband was prescribed complete vocal rest and she “very strictly” ensured that he followed the doctors’ instructions.

Future plans

Currently, Rod Stewart is touring the US with the One Last Time tour. In June, he is scheduled to perform in Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah, and New York.

This tour, presented as the last large-scale world tour of his career, has already traveled across North America and Europe.

In a 2025 interview, the artist said:

“I am not retiring from music, but this will be the last time I do a tour of this scale.”
