The 23-year-old footballer appeared dazed, received medical assistance, and later left the field with help.
Later, J. Musiala posted a statement on his Instagram account and tried to reassure fans worried about his health.
“I was diagnosed with temporary, short, but easily treatable seizures caused by a neurological disorder.
This may explain recent episodes, such as the match against Leipzig or now in Heidenheim. I know it may look frightening at first glance, but at the moment this is just part of my daily life.
I am receiving excellent medical care and am very optimistic. Bayern, my family, and friends are always by my side and support me on this journey,” the footballer wrote.
This incident occurred after J. Musiala collapsed during a friendly match in Munich on Saturday, where Bayern won 3-1 against RB Leipzig.
In that match, J. Musiala entered the field in the 81st minute and even managed to score a goal, but later began to stagger. Teammate Ismael Saibari quickly reacted and supported Musiala, preventing him from falling hard to the ground.
The German publication Bild initially reported that the approximately 33-degree heat in Munich could have caused circulatory problems. This was used to explain why Musiala felt weak, even though he spent only a few minutes on the field.
J. Musiala spent the first six months of last season sidelined due to an ankle injury sustained at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, but returned to the field in the second half of the season and started three of the four German national team matches at the 2026 World Cup.
