“On a beautiful July 1st, I was born, and then, exactly ten years and ten days later, Ričardas was born. Perhaps that’s why it was so easy for us to communicate and work together every day – we both had quite a few similarities. Even the ten-year age difference didn’t bother us, because Ričardas is a very mature man, or I am an ever-immature scatterbrain,” Skaiva says about her and her on-air colleague’s similarities.
“Our duo lasted for two years, and during that time, there was everything except arguments. Every separation is disheartening, filled with nostalgia, a certain sadness, memories arise, but this time we say goodbye in good spirits, after all, we both remain at M1,” says Ričardas.
The famous and well-known M1 hosts are not yet revealing who their new on-air partners will be and what shows they will host on the radio from next week. They state that this week they want to properly say goodbye not only to each other but also to their large group of loyal fans.
“I’m sad to part with him, because working with Ričardas was like eating a meringue cake – very easy and sweet. I even sometimes wished he would get angry with me, but that never happened. My colleague often brought me some treat, even learned to give a compliment after a few years! And I, over the years, started to understand a bit of Samogitian. I feel sorry for our pair, I’m leaving a good man, but when you find out why – you’ll understand me,” S.Jasevičiūtė teases.

R. Mikavičius also speaks of her only in the most beautiful words, which is excellent proof that he truly learned to give compliments.
“When I started working with Skaiva, I thought she was a real thick-skinned, arrogant, self-centered person. But it wasn’t long before I realized that Skaiva is a very friendly, good, intelligent person. I learned a lot from her. I won’t hide it, I’ve been scolded for what I did or said on air, but it never turned into public or private conflicts. Skaiva is a true radio star, a legend, it’s comfortable and easy to work with her, I’ll boast that I was able to be by her side,” Ričardas reveals.
M1 representatives promise to announce all news very soon. Not only new host duos and new shows will appear on air, but also one new, yet very well-known face to M1 listeners from before.
