25 years ago, at this location where the restaurant “Apžavai” opened just a year ago, one of the first restaurants in Kunigiškės operated. According to Greta, the building’s facade has remained authentic – just as it was many years ago: “It was our family business, where everyone worked – parents, children, relatives. But one day the business stopped, and the building stood empty and unused for many years.”

What does the name mean?
Greta says she wanted to bring this building back to a second, different, more modern life. Although she had no experience in the restaurant business this time, she set herself a challenge and revived the old premises in just half a year.
“The first year was difficult – we made mistakes, it was hard to find employees, but today we know this business to the bone,” the interviewee laughs.

This year’s “hit” – burritos, buffalo California wings with blue cheese sauce, and grilled chicken.
While creating recipes and looking for ideas for the family, the restaurant name “Apžavai” was born – magical, enchanting, and making curious people perk up – what does it mean? According to the interviewee, this place has always been associated with peace, simplicity, coziness, and Kunigiškės itself is surrounded by enchanting Lithuanian nature – forest and sea.
