Foreign stars of exceptional caliber from the USA, Chile, and Germany
As the event’s creator and organizer Albertas Martinaitis says, three prominent performers from abroad will come to VAYUS, whose work is not only respected by the industry but also shapes how today’s electronic music sounds.

“Marcellus Pittman, Move D, and Paula Tape are performers of such caliber who play either at major European festivals or in closed, sometimes even niche underground spaces. At VAYUS, they will perform in a daytime dance format, on the Palanga seaside. For artists of this level, this is a very rare, intimate format,” says A. Martinaitis.
Marcellus Pittman – a legend from Detroit, a member of the 3 Chairs collective, which also includes Theo Parrish, Rick Wilhite, and Moodymann, whose records collectors are willing to pay triple-digit sums for. His sets at Berghain, Dekmantel, and Robert Johnson are considered the standard of the DJ craft. Marcellus Pittman stands out for his attention to vinyl, soul melodies, and hypnotic groove.
Move D (David Moufang) – a German electronic music legend. His musical history dates back to the 60s, encompassing jazz, psychedelic rock, soul, and early electronic music. Today he is one of the most important names in the house music scene both as a producer and as a DJ. His recordings are based on the tradition of house music, but each time it is presented in a way that surprises both longtime fans and those encountering Move D for the first time.
Paula Tape – the brightest representative of the new generation in the VAYUS program. Three years ago, she became the first BBC Radio 1 resident from Chile, and a couple of years ago released her debut Essential Mix. Her playing is characterized by freedom, eclecticism, experiments inspired by her early career as a drummer in indie music bands. On global dance floors, she stands out with a unique style: underground dance music blends with synth house sounds.
Paula Tape is represented by one of the most prominent European electronic music agencies – Temporary Secretary (TS) based in Berlin, which manages world-renowned names such as HVOB, Dixon, Âme, Jimi Jules, Acid Pauli, and Axel Boman.
Performances by Lithuanian House artists – in B2B collaborations
This year, no Lithuanian artist will take the VAYUS stage alone – all will perform in B2B collaborations.
“B2B (back-to-back) in the context of electronic music is a format where two or more DJs share the stage at the same time, playing tracks alternately. It is a musical conversation, sometimes even a heated discussion between different musical worlds that meet on stage and live,
find common ground in front of the audience. In daylight, you can both see and hear how the artists inspire each other, show direction, and respond to one another. Such performances have a completely different vitality,” says A. Martinaitis.
On Saturday, Lithuanians will perform, revealing the festival’s musical identity: Cport Cistema x Hades, Oyster x Less Feeling, Lover Live, and Tušas (Mountak x Elboe x Une).
One Lithuanian performance will be a unique experience. Alongside DJ music, live instrumental music will be played. Which performance this will be, a rare electronic music collaboration with live music, is not disclosed – it will be a surprise for the festival community.
What are daytime dances and why are they changing party culture?
Daytime dances are a conscious choice to look at fun and good times differently: in an open space, natural light, surrounded by inspiring nature. According to A. Martinaitis, this format provides a completely different experience.
“In sunlight, people feel safer, become more open, more aware of their surroundings, relax more easily, and forget their worries, so the music affects differently, and people become much friendlier to each other, even to strangers nearby. Positive energy forms, a connection with the environment, a friendly, tolerant, and open community where people accept each other more humbly,” says A. Martinaitis.
This is exactly what A. Martinaitis has been striving to create at VAYUS for almost a decade – an open, tolerant, joyful, positive, and bright community.
“I am from Palanga, born and raised here, Palanga is home to me, so I welcome everyone coming to the festival weekend as guests in my home. I want to show the quality, stylish side of Palanga, introduce the daytime dance format, and spread the message that the most pleasant entertainment experience is in daylight, in nature,” says A. Martinaitis.
The culture of daytime dances has been rapidly growing worldwide in recent years, with events of this genre organized all over Europe, especially in Amsterdam and Barcelona. The summer symbol – the VAYUS festival – has been pioneering the daytime dance format for eight years: from the very beginning, the festival organizers chose daytime as the main entertainment stage and have adhered to this principle ever since.
VAYUS will start at noon on Saturday, July 25, and last exactly 12 hours.
