Electrical devices, smoke detectors, clocks, lamps, or other unusual objects in the room can be examined more closely, especially if their purpose is unclear.
It is emphasized that hidden cameras in hotel rooms and short-term rental accommodations are a privacy-related problem, which law enforcement officers have also warned about.
