A huge crocodile weighing about 680 kilograms is believed to have killed 44-year-old Deasy Tuwo. Deasy was likely feeding the 5.2-meter-long crocodile pieces of meat when she slipped and fell into the enclosure. The creature dragged Deasy into the depths of its habitat.

Colleagues only learned about the horrific tragedy when they arrived at work and saw a “strange shape” in the water.
Soon they realized it was a crocodile holding what was left of Deasy’s body in its jaws. Rescuers and colleagues desperately tried to pull the woman’s remains out.
Deasy’s friend Erling Rumengan said: “Looking into the crocodile’s pool, curiosity arose – there was some object floating there. It was Deasy’s body. We were afraid to touch it and immediately reported the incident to the Tombariri police station. It is possible that the crocodile jumped from the edge. Perhaps because the crocodile was already full, it did not eat the entire body.”
Former colleague Merry Supit added: “She was the head of the laboratory. A quiet person. We are shocked and do not understand how this could have happened. The crocodile eats chicken, tuna, and meat. Everything must be fresh – it does not eat if the food is frozen or died a few days ago.”
The staff eventually managed to catch the crocodile, which was later taken for medical examination.
It had attacked and killed another crocodile that also lived in the same enclosure.
It is claimed that the creature ate most of Deasy’s hands, arms, and abdominal area. There are fears that the crocodile swallowed more body parts.
