Newly released data today shows that from April 30 to July 15, 2026, 67 cases of the disease were identified. Most of them were recorded in the United Kingdom (30), Scotland (27), and Wales (10). This is a huge increase compared to the period 2022–2025, when the annual average was 93 cases, according to the “Daily Express”.
