Representatives of the Hungarian government stated this at a press conference, reported by Euronews.
According to them, negotiations between P. Magyar and V. Zelensky may take place if the Ukrainian side meets Budapest’s demands.
“Technical negotiations are already underway, but a high-level meeting is possible if progress is made in these talks,” the statement said.

On May 20, P. Magyar said he hopes to meet with V. Zelensky in the city of Berehove in the Zakarpattia region in early June. He also sees the possibility to “open a new chapter between Ukraine and Hungary” on the issue of national minorities. The Hungarian Prime Minister expressed hope that negotiations with Kyiv will be quick and effective.
Resolving the issue of national minorities is one of the conditions for Budapest to agree to the start of the first phase of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
