He recently visited Vilnius two weeks ago, where meetings with G. Nausėda focused heavily on cooperation in the defense industry sector.
Lithuania’s intention to purchase “Patria” armored vehicles was confirmed this week by the State Defense Council (VGT), after whose meeting our country’s leader emphasized that part of the production will take place in Lithuania.

“We could integrate into the production chain of these armored vehicles,” said G. Nausėda, assuring that this is a requirement for the manufacturer of these armored vehicles.
“I am not critical, but I evaluate cautiously”
Former Minister of National Defense Laurynas Kasčiūnas told 15min that he evaluates the purchase cautiously, as questions arise – perhaps this money could have been allocated to air defense.
