On September 18–19 in Kaunas, at the “Volfas Engelman” brewery yard, the event once again confirms this year that the celebration inspired by Bavarian traditions has become not just one evening in the calendar but a much-anticipated autumn event in the city.

Tables are reserved as early as spring
“We see that people are increasingly looking forward to this event. Previously, ticket sales would pick up as autumn approached, but now participants reserve tables as early as spring. More than half of the tables have been reserved within a month, even though the event is still four months away. This shows that ‘Oktoberfest’ in Kaunas has taken root and become a celebration that people prepare for in advance,” says Marius Horbačauskas, CEO of “Volfas Engelman.”
According to him, it has been noticed for several years that some participants start thinking about next year’s celebration as soon as the current event ends.

“We have guests who, immediately after one ‘Oktoberfest’ ends, already ask when it will be possible to reserve a table for the next year. This probably best shows that the event has its own community. People return here with friends, colleagues, company teams, plan their outfits, their evening program, and look forward to that atmosphere,” says M. Horbačauskas.
This year, visitors will again be able to choose different forms of participation – from table reservations to exclusive VIP experiences. The event program includes live music, a DJ program, Bavarian traditions, German cuisine dishes, drinks specially prepared for the celebration, and traditional games.
Bavarian traditions will create an authentic atmosphere
This year, the event will again emphasize the connection of “Oktoberfest” with Bavarian traditions and royal history. As in previous years, the event space will be enhanced with visual solutions that help recreate the authentic festival atmosphere and remind of the historical origins of the festival.

In the VIP zone, visitors will find a specially created “Royal Wiesn” area, inspired by historical “Oktoberfest” celebrations and the traditions of the Bavarian royal family. It will be complemented by large-format visual elements inviting guests to briefly travel back to the festival’s beginnings and feel the spirit of the celebration that made “Oktoberfest” a recognizable phenomenon worldwide.
Special attention will also be given to the partnership with His Royal Highness Prince Luitpold of Bavaria’s company “König Ludwig International” and the “Kaltenberg” tradition, which has been presented in Kaunas for several years. This part of the celebration will stand out not only with the royal drink brewed especially for this occasion but also with the support of the Royal Family, helping to nurture Bavarian traditions in Lithuania.
The line of royal Bavarian traditions at the event will also be complemented by drinks bearing the “Kaltenberg” name. This name is associated with the brewing traditions of the Bavarian royal family, making it another authentic experience for event participants – alongside music, attire, cuisine, and the specially created “Royal Wiesn” atmosphere.
According to M. Horbačauskas, the connection with the Bavarian royal family helps the event held in Kaunas maintain not only an entertainment but also a cultural foundation for the celebration.

“We want Kaunas ‘Oktoberfest’ to be not only a fun evening but also as authentic an experience as possible. Bavarian traditions, history, attire, music, community – all these create the identity of the celebration. Therefore, it is important for us to maintain a connection with the true origins of ‘Oktoberfest’ and convey this atmosphere more strongly every year,” says M. Horbačauskas.
Encourages not to wait until the last minute
The organizers urge those who want to participate not to wait until the last minute – the number of tables is very limited, and tickets will become more expensive as the event approaches.
“This year, we definitely see great demand. Therefore, for those who already know they want to participate, we recommend securing tables now. The closer the event, the fewer options there will be – or none at all, and tickets will become more expensive as the event approaches,” says M. Horbačauskas.
According to him, it is worth thinking in advance not only about the place at the table but also about the festive image. In recent years, more and more participants come to the event dressed in Bavarian-style clothing or with its details.
“Oktoberfest attire is already becoming a separate part of the celebration. People want to get involved, be part of the atmosphere, so we increasingly see traditional costumes, hats, suspenders, or other details. And the same principle applies here – it is better to prepare earlier because good choices may simply no longer be available right before the event,” says M. Horbačauskas.
