The report released on Friday evening by Dr. Sean Barbabella states that D. Trump underwent a CT scan, various heart tests, cancer screenings, and other preventive evaluations conducted by as many as 22 specialists.
79-year-old D. Trump, after a visit lasting more than three hours, stated that “everything was just perfect.”
During the check-up, the president weighed 108 kilograms – 6 kilograms more than during the previous health check in April 2025. Doctors gave him recommendations regarding diet, physical activity, and weight loss but concluded that his “cognitive and physical abilities are excellent.”
At a height of 190 cm, D. Trump’s body mass index (BMI) is 29.7. In medicine, obesity is defined as a BMI of 30 or higher.
The report also recorded bruises on the president’s hands. They are explained as “minor soft tissue irritation due to frequent handshakes” and described as a “common and harmless side effect of aspirin use.” Among the recommendations was a suggestion to switch to a lower aspirin dose.
Last year, the White House announced that D. Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency – a fairly common condition in older people where blood pools in the leg veins. The latest report mentions that the president still shows “mild swelling of the lower legs,” but notes that the condition has improved compared to last year.
The doctor observed no health disorders and stated that the president demonstrates strong heart, lung, neurological, and overall physical condition.
“His intense daily schedule, including high-level meetings, public events, and regular physical activity, continues to contribute to overall well-being,” the report states.
D. Trump also underwent the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) test again, used to detect signs of dementia and cognitive impairments. The president scored the maximum – 30 out of 30. He had achieved the same result in 2018 and 2025.
The report notes that due to medication use, the president’s cholesterol levels have significantly improved. Total cholesterol decreased from 223 units in 2018 to 143 now. In April last year, this level had reached 140.
This health check was the fourth publicly released since D. Trump began his second term in the White House. It is conducted as the president aims to demonstrate good physical shape ahead of the US midterm elections.
Although previous administrations also publicized some presidential health data, US laws do not require presidents to disclose all medical records. The level of transparency depends on each administration’s decisions.
D. Trump will turn 80 next month. He is the oldest person ever elected US president. Joe Biden left office at age 82 and withdrew from the 2024 election campaign due to public doubts about his age and fitness for office.
Recently, D. Trump has been trying to dispel concerns about his age and stamina. He often appears in public with makeup to mask bruises on his hands, and photos have repeatedly shown swollen feet, ankles, and calves.
The president himself recently repeatedly claimed to feel as good as he did 50 years ago, although he does not shy away from joking about his fast food habit and that his main physical activity is regular golf games.
