D. Trump accused the Smithsonian Institution – which manages 21 museums and galleries – of attempting to rewrite American history on race and gender issues.
The 162-page White House report states that the Smithsonian leadership “consistently diminished and sidelined whites, men, Christians, and Americans in educational materials and programs.”
D. Trump called for the installation of a 30-foot (9-meter) “giant George Washington statue,” honoring this founding father and the first U.S. president, and for an exhibition dedicated to his legacy at the National Museum of American History in Washington.
The president also expressed a desire for the 11-foot (3-meter) tall G. Washington statue, displayed in August at the “Freedom 250 IndyCar” race, to be exhibited in the museum’s Flag Hall.

He requested a five-year exhibition to be held until February 22, 2032 – the 300th anniversary of G. Washington’s birth – to honor his “life and legacy.”
“He is undoubtedly the greatest American hero. Without him, our country and our freedoms would not exist,” D. Trump wrote on his “Truth Social” platform.
The Smithsonian Institution was established by the federal government in 1846 but operates in a unique position, not belonging to any branch of government.
