Archaeologists and students working on the coast have uncovered new fragments of Late Bronze Age (800–400 BC) settlement buildings and discovered finds whose significance, it is claimed, goes beyond the borders of Lithuania.

Bronze axe handles, broken ceramic pots with remnants of ancient food preserved inside, the oldest textile fragment found so far in Lithuania, bones of various animals, grains, groats, apples, metal smelting tools, and more than three hundred amber artifacts and their fragments were found here.
