Besides the aforementioned countries, I was also in Sri Lanka, where I also enjoyed the hospitable locals, but after one of my friend’s Sri Lankan incidents, which turned out very unpleasantly for him and especially for his young wife, that fascination cooled down and I realized that it would be better if those locals were just neutral.

I will tell you all about it soon, but before that, I will dedicate some attention to Sri Lanka itself, as it is quite a popular winter holiday destination among Lithuanians. And not necessarily only in winter, one of my acquaintances is even visiting it right now.
But I myself would definitely not go there in the summer – it’s too hot. Why do people go then? In summer, flight tickets to Sri Lanka are relatively cheaper, so people fall for that. Even in March, considered one of the most favorable months to visit Sri Lanka, it was quite hot for me.
