„We have started everything from scratch twice in our lives. The first time – when we emigrated to Northern Ireland. We lived there for seven years, and then we decided to return. We came back and everything started from scratch again.
We returned with children: our daughter was starting first grade, the other was going to kindergarten. That’s when we opened “Vanilinis Dangus,” invested all our savings into this business, and rented a house in Tauragnai. We still live there, but now we have bought the house,” says Vaida.
Although Vaida is from Molėtai and Povilas is from Vilnius, after living abroad the couple realized they did not want to return to the big city: “We wanted a smaller town. Molėtai seemed too small, although now we also have a café there. We chose Utena and came here. We have no connections to this city – no relatives, no parents. We came to a completely unfamiliar town.”
