Specialized police units carefully examined the object found on the station tracks, just before 11 a.m. local time (12 p.m. Lithuanian time), the police authorities of the Middle Franconia region of Bavaria announced on the social network “X”.
“Currently, federal police specialists are investigating an object that poses an explosion hazard,” the police wrote on “X”. “Please continue to avoid this area and keep your distance.”
Troichtlingen is a town with about 13,000 inhabitants, located about 150 km north of Munich.

Troichtlingen railway station is an important hub for regional and long-distance trains, with lines connecting to Munich, Nuremberg, and other Bavarian cities.
On Thursday morning, train traffic through this station was suspended while the police investigated the suspicious object.
