According to Revolut’s Head of Products and New Initiatives Hadi Nasrallah, the company wants to expand the services offered to customers beyond financial products, focusing more on travel-related experiences.

“Many of our customers travel frequently, so we are looking for ways to improve their experience not only when using financial services. Copenhagen is an important air transport hub and one of the markets where we are growing rapidly, so we plan it to be the first Revolut Lounge,” says H. Nasrallah.

Copenhagen Airport was chosen due to its high international passenger traffic and its importance in the Nordic region. Currently, Revolut has more than 2 million customers in this region and expects to increase that number to 3 million by the end of the year. In Denmark, about 500,000 customers are expected before the lounge opens. The Copenhagen Revolut Lounge project is being implemented together with the airport lounge operator Plaza Premium Group, which manages one of the largest networks of such spaces in the world.
