Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of peeled, cut, sourer apples;
  • 2 medium pears;
  • 1 medium orange;
  • about 250 g of sugar.

Preparation:

  1. Peel the fruits, remove the seeds, and cut them.
  2. Cut the orange as finely as possible because it takes longer to cook. Pour sugar over it and let it sit for at least a few hours until liquid appears. Before cooking, you can add a pinch of ground cinnamon if you want.
  3. Cook on low heat for a good half hour, pour into heated jars, and close with lids. Stir constantly to prevent burning; if you see it’s necessary, add a splash of water.
  4. This apple jam will have a mild, slightly piquant taste, so it’s perfect both for warming tea and as a great addition to various desserts.

Apple jam with bananas

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of apples;
  • 3 bananas;
  • 300 g of sugar;
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar;
  • ½ lemon juice.

Preparation:

  1. Cut the apples into cubes, bananas into slices. Pour everything with sugar, vanilla sugar, and lemon juice.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook for half an hour, stirring occasionally.
  3. Pour into prepared jars, seal tightly, and wait for winter.

Oven-baked apple jam

Ingredients:

  • ~1 kg of sugar;
  • 5 kg of apples;
  • 100 ml of water.

Preparation:

  1. Wash the apples well, remove the seeds, leave the peel. Then grate them – you can use a potato grater, food processor, or potato ricer.
  2. Pour sugar and water over the grated apple mass. Mix everything well. Adjust the amount of sugar according to the type of apples: if sweeter, 0.5 kg may be enough.
  3. Pour this mass into a pot suitable for baking in the oven. It is important that it can be covered.
  4. Bake for 2-2.5 hours in a 200-degree oven. Do not open the pot or stir.
  5. After removing from the oven, pour the apple jam into prepared sterile jars with screw lids.
  6. This apple jam will appeal to those who do not like apple pieces – it turns out to be a wonderfully fragrant apple puree of a smooth consistency.
