Upon reaching Vilnius airport, the Žalgiris players immediately shared their first emotions upon arriving in Lithuania with “Žalgiris TV”.

“The flight was long, but I am eager to start working and see how the season will unfold. I want to get to know the guys – there are many talented players on the team, and the coach is also excellent. Overall, the Žalgiris organization is of a very high level, so I want to fit in as soon as possible and help the team in every possible way,” said C. Edwards.

Meanwhile, K. Akobundu-Ehiogu expressed his desire to meet Jonas Valančiūnas, and Dustin Sleva compared returning to Lithuania to his first trip to Kaunas last year.
“Last year I felt so much stress – I have told this about 10 times already, but I just didn’t want to be kicked out of the team, that’s all, so I was really nervous. This year I am happy and ready to compete.
For the first five years of my career, I played in the same club, so I know that returning like this is much easier – you already know everyone, you know where to go eat. I am very happy because the whole team here is really great,” added D. Sleva.
