A. Žagaras has been part of the “Fenerbahçe” organization since 2023, when he signed a contract after a successful World Basketball Championship.
In the 2023-2024 season, he was loaned to the Vilnius “Wolves” team, but suffered a serious knee injury at the beginning of the season and returned to the lineup only in the spring of 2024.

During the 2024-2026 period, A. Žagaras represented “Fenerbahçe” and in 2025 won the EuroLeague and twice won the Turkish championship title and the national cup.

However, the role of the injury-plagued Latvian remained limited. Over two seasons in the EuroLeague, he played 27 games, and in the Turkish league – 32 games.

After leaving “Fenerbahçe,” he attracted interest from several Spanish teams, including Vitoria’s “Baskonia” and Badalona’s “Joventut,” but decided to continue his career in China.
