Jovita Rudėnienė, Director of the Švenčionys District Municipality Administration, told BNS that previously the bicycle paths in Švenčionėliai lacked continuity – now they are connected into a common infrastructure, with street intersections properly adapted for this purpose.
“We faced the problem that children really like to ride bicycles and that transportation is not very complicated, because the town itself is not big and going to school is really convenient, but there was no infrastructure adapted for that,” J. Rudėnienė told BNS.
