Therefore, civil protection must cover the entire safety chain for residents – from warning and evacuation to temporary accommodation, feeding, and assistance,“ said the Minister of the Interior Martynas Katelynas in a statement released on Friday.

According to the ministry, in addition to the planned activities – temporary accommodation for evacuated residents, supplying evacuation point staff, and strengthening the capacities of non-governmental organizations – it is proposed to finance the establishment of civil protection assistance points.
