Applications are accepted under the new support measure – “Support for sheep keepers for voluntary vaccination of sheep against bluetongue disease.” The measure compensates part of the costs for vaccinations performed during the period from January 1 to May 31, 2026.

“Voluntary vaccination is a responsible decision by sheep keepers that helps reduce the risk of disease on farms. This support is intended to compensate part of the expenses incurred by those who vaccinated sheep against bluetongue disease this year. We invite you to submit applications on time and to first check whether the vaccination data is registered in the Register of Farm Animals,” says Dalia Laureckaitė-Tumelienė, Head of the Livestock and Animal Welfare Division of the Sustainable Agricultural Production and Food Industry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Applications under this measure are submitted through the information system administered by the Agricultural Data Center (Support Calculation Information System for Agricultural Activity Entities). The Agricultural Data Center, based on the data in the application and registers, performs the necessary actions to calculate the support and transfers the information to the National Paying Agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, which carries out the payment of the support.

Key information for applicants

Support applications are accepted from June 1 to June 30 inclusive.

A sheep keeper who, for important reasons including force majeure or serious illness, was unable to submit the application on time may submit it until July 14 inclusive.
