In recent weeks, the number of Russian ballistic missile attacks has rapidly increased. Kyiv is particularly hard hit by them, and Moscow is taking advantage of the fact that Ukraine’s “Patriot” missile interceptor stocks are almost depleted.
V. Zelensky stated that a tenth of the current US reserves would be enough to stop all Russian ballistic missile attacks, and 5% would help Ukraine survive the winter.
“This year we have two and a half times fewer interceptors than we had in 2025. Russia launches twice as many ballistic missiles per month as before,” he said.

According to United Nations data, July was the month with the most civilian casualties in Ukraine since April 2022.
“Attacks happen every night, and four or five times a month we experience mass attacks… These are terrible nights. People are very heroic, very resilient. But they are tired,” said V. Zelensky.
