“Just in case, before the start, I knocked on wood three times,” smiled the other member of the hosting duo, Andrius Tapinas.
The creators of “Golden Mind” are pleased that the game format created more than a decade ago has proven very successful, so no major adjustments are needed.
“Every year we try to slightly improve the already perfect game rounds to make them even more interesting for both players and viewers. This season, the final stage introduced the ‘Lightning’ round, which requires not only knowledge but also very quick reactions,” said the idea’s author A. Valinskas.
The new round is a complex thematic set consisting of five questions, each of which must be answered within just five seconds. Whoever wins this short duel gets two points. “Lightning” will be the eighth question in every final, adding even more tension to the finals. It can become the last chance for survival for the one who is losing or firmly guarantee victory for the one who already has a solid lead.
“The very first game recordings showed that we offered a round that gave even more tension and intrigue to the show’s finals. TV viewers will be able to see this already this Friday, in the premiere episode of the new, 13th season of ‘Golden Mind’,” said A. Valinskas.
