According to publicly available information, scientific research and industrial institutions were previously located at this address, including “Ukrgosniiplastmass” and the Institute of Explosion-Proof and Mining Electrical Equipment with pilot and experimental production. It is noted that at that time the buildings were abandoned.

Analysts say the missiles hit directly into the underground parking lot.

After the strike, adjacent streets around the area were closed, and local residents reported hearing screams.

According to them, injured Russian soldiers were carried out from the strike site in Donetsk for some time.

“Adjacent streets are closed, survivors were transported from the incident site for a long time. Urgent blood collection for the 300th hospital continues,” reported “Exilenova+”.

The complex consists of three 21-story buildings, and it also has a two-level underground parking lot designed for about 600 cars. This is the very parking lot that, according to open-source analysts, Russian soldiers may have used as a headquarters.

Russian forces often use similar facilities for their needs due to their large size and protected underground premises.

According to the “Exilenova+” channel, one of the bombed facilities may have housed the headquarters of the Russian 51st Combined Arms Army. This unit was formed in the summer of 2024 during a large-scale reorganization and integration of occupation forces amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Photos from the missile strike site also appeared online. As seen from the footage, the building that housed the Russian forces’ headquarters turned into rubble.

On August 26, a series of powerful explosions thundered in Russian-occupied Donetsk. Reports emerged that Ukrainian forces launched “Flamingo” missiles.

However, there are no official confirmations yet that Donetsk was attacked with “Flamingo” missiles, nor is there information about the consequences of the strikes.

Local social media channels initially reported five or six strikes in the northern part of the city. Then, reportedly, a repeated strike was delivered.

“The capital of Donbas has just experienced a missile attack. Six hits were reported in the northern part of the city. Details are being clarified,” local social media pages wrote.

“Well, you understand that 5 missiles, which are very scarce, will not be used on ordinary targets,” noted analysts from the “Exilenova+” channel.
