Rūta Asadauskaitė, Head of Communications for Lithuanian Airports, told 15min that the aforementioned plane was diverted to Riga due to unfavorable weather conditions – storm clouds, lightning.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, two more planes from Vilnius Airport were diverted to Kaunas, R. Asadauskaitė stated. Planes flying from Heraklion, which were supposed to land in Vilnius – “Heston Airlines” (scheduled to land in the capital at 1 PM) and “Air Hub Airlines” (scheduled for 1:10 PM) – landed in this city.

According to Flightradar24.com, a flight tracking portal, there was information next to the plane flying from Tel Aviv to Vilnius that it would turn around and go back, but the aircraft still landed at Vilnius Airport. 15min contacted Lithuanian Airports for a comment, and we will update the publication once we receive it.
The Vilnius Airport flight schedule also shows that a plane from Warsaw is delayed – the aircraft, which was supposed to land at 1:50 PM, is now scheduled to arrive at 2:40 PM.
