These zucchinis disappear from the table faster than steaks – what's so special about them?

Ingredients (for 4 people):

  • 2 medium zucchinis (green or yellow)

  • ½ lime

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

  • salt

  • pepper

Preparation

1. Prepare the zucchinis. Wash the zucchinis, cut off the ends. Slice into approximately 0.5 cm thick rounds or thin strips lengthwise.

2. Prepare the marinade. Squeeze the lime juice and mix with olive oil. Generously season with salt and pepper.

Place the zucchinis in a bowl and pour the marinade over them. Gently mix so the pieces are evenly coated.

3. Grill. Place the zucchinis directly on the heated grill grates or in a grill pan / tray.

Grill for about 3 minutes on each side over medium heat until softened and nicely browned.

Tip

You can add garlic and herbs to the marinade, but they burn quickly on the grill. A better option is to brush the zucchinis with herb butter or sprinkle fresh herbs after grilling.

Pairs perfectly with: dorado, halloumi cheese, chicken, or simply as a warm side dish for a summer dinner.
