The minister officially appealed to the State Food and Veterinary Service (VMVT) to immediately start origin checks of all grains transported in transit from Russia and Belarus – not only feed grains but also food grains – the ministry reported.

“Uniform inspection must be applied to all grain shipments transported from Russia and Belarus, regardless of their destination. We must do everything to ensure that our country’s infrastructure is not used for the transit of stolen Ukrainian grain,” K. Mažeika said in the statement.
