„We work constantly with the Government Chancellery, with the Prime Minister’s foreign policy advisor. And that connection is close, also with the Prime Minister, and no questions have arisen regarding the implemented measures,“ said K. Budrys.
Asked whether such a position of D. Kuolys also reflects the opinion of Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius himself, K. Budrys said he had not heard similar comments from the Prime Minister.
He also added that the comments appearing in the public space regarding specific implemented measures are important to him only if they are related to the competence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Prime Minister’s advisor D. Kuolys said in an interview with the portal „15min“ that he feels „a certain freeze, a standstill“ in Lithuania’s foreign policy, and compared the country’s diplomatic activity to a pedaled but unmoving bicycle, where movement is simulated but there is no real result.
He also emphasized that too much attention is paid to the Pacific Ocean and Latin America in the country’s foreign policy priorities, rather than to regional security threats.
