The second place went to “Capella Bangkok”. In 2024, this hotel was the leader of the ranking, and this year it took second place. The hotel located by the Chao Phraya River has 101 rooms, suites, and villas, as well as Mauro Colagreco’s restaurant “Côte”.

The third place was taken by “Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River”, located just a few steps from “Capella Bangkok”. So two Bangkok hotels made it into the top three in the world.

The fourth place is “Atlantis The Royal” located in Dubai, Palm Jumeirah. The huge resort has 795 rooms and suites, 17 restaurants, and more than 90 pools. In addition to the fourth place in the overall ranking, it also won the best beach hotel award.

The top five is completed by “Passalacqua” by Lake Como in Italy. The boutique-style hotel set in an 18th-century villa has only 24 rooms. It won the best boutique hotel award for the third consecutive year and became the highest-ranked European hotel.

The Swiss legend returned to the top fifty

The famous “Badrutt’s Palace” in St. Moritz took 36th place this year. It is the only Swiss hotel to make it into the top 50 in the world.

A year ago, it missed the top fifty by just two positions.

The hotel’s general manager Richard Leuenberger called the 36th place a “great story” and admitted that such a position for a hotel located in the mountains was unexpected. Members of the ranking committee can only vote for hotels where they have stayed themselves, and St. Moritz is not as easily accessible to international travelers as London, Paris, or Bangkok.

“Badrutt’s Palace” also received another recognition this year – the “SeiBellissimi Art of Hospitality Award 2026” for exceptional hospitality.

The hotel staff even photograph some regular guests’ rooms before they leave so that everything can be prepared exactly the same next time. Guests’ skiing equipment is cleaned, stored until the next visit, and prepared for use again upon their return.

“We have the best people,” said R. Leuenberger.
