Mačernis wrote about the fragile human life and eternity. And Inga grew up with his work, his memory accompanied her throughout her life. Her work was particularly related to cherishing the memory of Vytautas Mačernis. While working at the Žemaičių Kalvarija library, she not only named it after Vytautas Mačernis but also created projects for many years, preserved the poet’s memory, initiated the journey of his poetry collection “Visions” and gathered people for a living relationship with his work. Unfortunately, both their lives were significantly too short. It is difficult to express the pain we are experiencing in words. May Inga’s bright memory remain in our hearts and minds for a long time,” – states the Plungė District Municipality Public Library’s announcement.
