Menopause is the period from the end of a woman’s reproductive age to the end of ovarian function; simply put, it is the period when a woman has not had menstruation for one year.

This new stage of life worries many women, even frightens them, because menopause is still often associated with old age in our society. However, according to gynecologist V. Jonaitienė, a woman’s life does not end with this newly begun stage.
“It all depends on a woman’s attitude and inner mindset. If you realize that this is a natural stage of life, that it is inevitable, you simply accept this part of a more mature, calmer life. It is a stage of life of a different quality, but nothing prevents a mature woman from being in a good mood, exercising, eating healthily, and taking comprehensive care of herself,” said the doctor.
