In the competition at Palanga stadium, the 35-year-old athlete threw the discus 67 m 73 cm on his second attempt.
This guaranteed him first place in the Lithuanian Athletics Federation Cup competition.
Second place in Palanga was taken by Mažvydas Paurys, who threw 53 m 94 cm, and third by Arnas Gulevičius, who recorded 41 m 66 cm.
The Aleknas brothers did not compete in Palanga.
World record holder Mykolas Alekna continues training after recovering from a pectoral muscle injury and is expected to compete in a few weeks. Martynas Alekna also did not start.

For A. Gudžius, this was his best result of the season.
The personal best of the 2017 World and 2018 European champion is 69 m 59 cm.
A. Gudžius, who has been plagued by injuries for the past few years, had not thrown that far, so Saturday’s result is a pleasant surprise.
Recently, Andrius met the European Championship standard in another competition in Kaunas, throwing the discus 65 m 50 cm.
The most important athletics event of the year – the European Championships – will take place in England in mid-August.
