According to V. Sinica, although the favorite of these elections is obvious, their outcome could become a kind of lottery.
“Throughout the entire election process, it is possible to reach the second round, and there – it’s already a lottery,” hoped the politician, unexpectedly elected to the Seimas in the Pilaitė-Karoliniškės constituency, where he defeated the conservative Radvilė Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė in the second round.
In the previous Vilnius mayoral elections, V. Sinica, who participated, failed to even get close to the top three leaders.

The less well-known politician was then surpassed not only by the current city leader Valdas Benkunskas. He also lagged behind Artūras Zuokas, Mykolas Majauskas, Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius, and Waldemar Tomaszewski.
But a public opinion survey conducted at the beginning of summer is already much more favorable to V. Sinica. Almost 9% of residents now see the National Alliance leader in the mayor’s position.
Over 30% of Vilnius residents reportedly plan to vote for the current city mayor in the elections, while almost 15% of voters again see A. Zuokas in the city leader’s seat.
