After learning that the Benalmadena resort would not renew her contract as a waitress, the woman decided to take revenge and harm the establishment’s operations. On September 3, at the last moment changing her position regarding the admission of guilt, she was sentenced to one year of imprisonment, with the execution postponed, according to “The Sun”.
In May 2023, the woman’s plans failed when she was caught pouring a glass of bleach directly onto a tray with yogurt, pineapples, and watermelon – food products prepared for hotel guests to consume. Several hotel guests (including a couple from the United Kingdom) caught her in the act and immediately raised the alarm.

Thanks to quick actions, the tourists did not get to taste the poisonous food, thus avoiding serious health risks. Subsequent food tests conducted by the police confirmed that it was contaminated with bleach. However, this was not the only case – just five days earlier, investigators found that she had deliberately poured toxic commercial bleach on a milk bottle in the bar. It is believed that she carried out the sabotage in the dessert area on her last day at the hotel before being dismissed.
After the police investigation, she was charged with a crime against public health and ordered to appear in court. The woman initially claimed she was innocent but later reached a plea agreement with prosecutors. She avoided the prison sentence handed down by the Malaga court by officially admitting to the crime. The prosecution stated that she acted “clearly intending to harm the hotel.”

She was charged under Article 365 of the Spanish Criminal Code, which covers intentional poisoning of public water supply and food.
The Malaga provincial court sentenced her to one year in prison for attempting to poison customers and colleagues. Since she had no prior convictions and her sentence did not exceed two years, the court agreed to suspend the execution of the prison sentence for two years. The conditions stipulate that she must not reoffend within the two-year period, or else she faces imprisonment.
