On Monday, when the final Lithuanian language and literature exam was held in many schools across Lithuania, more than 200 reports of alleged explosives were sent to schools. No suspicious items were found in any school, and the education and examination processes were not disrupted.

On Tuesday, threats continued to be sent en masse to various institutions. The police do not see a real danger but urge vigilance.
“This morning, threatening emails about explosives reached the country’s schools, medical institutions, stations, and the airport. The emails sent in Russian threaten that the buildings are mined and explosions will occur in 2 hours. Today, the police have already received about 40 reports; the information is being checked and analyzed, and so far we do not see a real threat,” the Police Department statement said.
