Paulius Vaitiekūnas says goodbye to M1 "Weather Boys": "Radio has long been more than just radio"

According to Paulius, he is not leaving M1.

“I realized that lately I have been working a lot and living too little. Not only do I host shows on the radio, various events, but I also produce podcasts online, prepare content for social networks. Another summer of my life is beginning, and I want to use this time for my own pleasure. However, this certainly does not mean that I will no longer be on M1,” – says P. Vaitiekūnas somewhat mysteriously, without revealing further plans.

According to the popular radio show host, he is not closing the door to M1 – he promises to return later with news and not necessarily as a radio show host.

“Radio has long since ceased to be just radio; many beautiful things happen behind the scenes that listeners do not see or hear. M1, as the most listened-to radio station in Lithuania, constantly surprises with huge ambitions; the best example of this was last December when the grand M1 music awards took place at the Kaunas “Žalgiris” arena. The radio station has many platforms to reach people, so I don’t want to limit myself to just the airwaves; I can use my creativity and energy much more broadly,” he says.

Paulius’s voice has been heard on M1 for several years. At first, he was the host of the early morning show, and a year ago, together with colleague Mantas Bružas, he started creating the late morning show “Weather Boys.”

So what fate awaits the “Weather Boys”?

“The show loved by listeners will definitely remain on the air; the chair next to Mantas will be taken by another famous and well-known host. M1 will announce this very soon. I am calm – the “Weather Boys” remain in very good hands,” intrigues P. Vaitiekūnas.
