K. Kardashian sought to move forward after the court last year found eight individuals guilty of their roles in the robbery, which the US celebrity called “the worst experience of my life.”

The court awarded the former Hôtel de Pourtalès hotel receptionist 109,516 euros, his lawyer reported. K. Kardashian was staying at this hotel when a gang of robbers targeted her.

The receptionist claimed he was injured during the jewelry theft on October 2, 2016, during Fashion Week. He demanded 550,000 euros in damages and interest.

His lawyer Mohandas Ouidja (Moandas Vidža) described the decision as a victory.

The lawyer also shared with the news agency AP the court’s written decisions related to K. Kardashian and other individuals.

The court awarded the hotel 50,000 euros. Also, 1 euro – the amount requested – was awarded to Simone Bretter, K. Kardashian’s stylist who was with the star during the robbery.

French lawyers representing K. Kardashian during the trial did not respond to AP messages and calls this week.

Two robbers dressed as police officers broke into her room, tied K. Kardashian with plastic straps and tape, and fled with jewelry worth more than 6 million US dollars, including a diamond ring she was wearing that evening at the Givenchy show.

Due to their age, the robbers in France became known as “les papys braqueurs,” or the grandpa robbers. Six of them were in their 70s and 80s when tried for armed robbery, kidnapping, gang conspiracy, and other charges.

Including time already spent in pre-trial detention, none of the convicted returned to prison. None of them appealed the verdict.

K. Kardashian later stated in a released statement that she is “deeply grateful to the French authorities for delivering justice in this case.”

“This crime was the worst experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family,” said the celebrity. “While I will never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and responsibility and pray that everyone heals. I remain committed to defending justice and promoting a fair legal system.”
