A woman was killed and six people were injured in a combined ballistic missile and drone attack in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the regional governor reported.

The city suffered a “combined ballistic missile and drone attack,” local defense council head Oleksandr Vilkul said earlier on the Telegram platform, warning residents that a new wave could follow.
Russian forces struck two industrial facilities in the city, prompting rescue and firefighting operations, Vilkul said.
Officials in Kyiv declared an air threat just before 2 a.m. local (and Lithuanian) time, warning of a ballistic missile threat.
AFP journalists in the capital soon heard several explosions.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko said Kyiv is “under attack by ballistic missiles” and urged residents to stay in shelters.
One person was injured and fires broke out in uninhabited facilities during strikes in the Obolon and Holosiiv districts of the capital.
Kremenchuk in central Poltava region was also attacked, local officials reported, without providing detailed information on damage or casualties.
Meanwhile, on the Russian side, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported a continuous nighttime attack of hundreds of drones against the capital and posted a series of updates for several hours.
Russia increasingly uses long-range missiles in its war against Ukraine, while Kyiv responds with drone strikes deep inside Russian territory, including multiple attempts to attack the capital.
Ukraine increasingly targets military, industrial, and logistics facilities deep in Russia, claiming its strikes are a response to Moscow’s ongoing bombardment of Ukrainian cities and infrastructure.
