Tara Davis-Woodhall shared photos, a crash video, and a story about an unexpected car collision, in which she escaped with minor injuries but experienced bad emotions.

The 27-year-old American athlete showed wounds on her left elbow, but these were not the only consequences of the injury.
She said that last week, while on her way to training, a car suddenly drove into her lane, and the cars collided while driving at 32 km/h.
“Fortunately, I survived without any serious injuries. However, I suffered a concussion and other injuries, which means I will not be able to train,” the titled athlete wrote on Instagram.
Although the speed was not high, both cars were significantly crumpled, and T. Davis-Woodhall cried at the crash site.

“At the moment, I am working with my team and doctors to recover, but I am not sure if I will be able to compete in the Ultimate Championship next week,” the athlete doubted about participating in the major commercial competition in Budapest. “Very unfortunate timing; I am at the peak of my athletic form.
I am faster than ever. I am stronger than I have ever been. So the decision is very difficult, I do not know what my condition is now.”
T. Davis-Woodhall has won top-tier awards in long jump competitions.
At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, she won gold, and she also triumphed at the 2025 World Championship and the 2024 indoor world championships.
