„Yahoo Sports“ announces that H. Barnes acquired the bank through the company „Barnes Bancorp, Inc.“, of which he is the main owner. The bank is located in Paton, a town with about 220 residents.
Local media confirmed that the deal is already completed. Bank manager Craig Marquardt stated that after the change of ownership, the bank’s name, employees, and management will remain the same.
H. Barnes emphasized that this investment is not a short-term business project.
„This is not a project just for image. We want to become another great Iowa bank,“ said H. Barnes.
