Ukrainian forces delivered a “targeted strike” on a public transport stop in the city of Enerhodar, killing an “atomic energy specialist” and injuring 17 people, “most of them power plant workers,” the Russian-appointed plant management reported on the Telegram platform.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported being informed that on Tuesday around 6 a.m., a drone exploded at a “bus stop used by workers” heading to the nuclear power plant.

IAEA head Rafael Grossi “seriously urges the responsible military commanders (…) to immediately stop these unacceptable actions,” added the United Nations (UN) nuclear safety oversight body in its post on the social network X and warned that they pose a “great threat to nuclear safety.”
Both sides constantly accuse each other of strikes around this power plant, which is located in Enerhodar, on the Dnipro River and near the front line in southern Ukraine.
